Mesquite approves 235-home master-planned community

MESQUITE (Dallas Morning News) – The city council has approved the development of Valley Brooke, a 51-acre, 235-home single-family subdivison. 

The master-planned community will occupy two tracts on Mesquite Valley Rd.

Developer Taylor Duncan Interests ​Valleybrooke will dedicate 15 acres for public parks and private open spaces linked to B.J. Smith Elementary and Berry Middle School.

Plans also include a 21-acre regional park with nature trails, dog park, playground, splash pad, and picnic pavilion.

The two builders for Valley Brooke will be M/I Homes and Impression Homes.

Single-family rental community coming to Waller

​​​WALLER (REBusiness Online) – San Antonio-based LYND and T.R. Inscore are developing a $35 million single-family rental community.

Phase one, branded The Village at Waller, will have 118 homes on 14.7 acres.

Residences will have two- and three-bedroom floor plans and range from 1,090 to 1,657 sf. Monthly rents will range from $1,600 to $2,250. 

Communal amenities will include a pool, fitness center, dog park, playground, and outdoor grilling areas.​

At ​​buildout, the project will have 700 homes on an additional 52 acres. ​

Three major office towers underway at CityLine in Richardson

​​​​RICHARDSON (REBusiness Online) – KDC is building three office buildings totaling 1.4 million sf in the 204-acre CityLine mixed-use development. 

The buildings are:
  • Five CityLine, 18 stories and 513,000 sf;
  • Six CityLine, 13 stories and 356,000 sf; and 
  • Seven CityLine, 15 stories and 507,000 sf. 
Corgan & Associates is designing the buildings, which will bring the total office component at CityLine to 2.6 million sf.

Construction will begin when tenants have been secured.

Ascott buys student housing community near Texas Tech

​​​​LUBBOCK (REBusiness Online) – Ascott Residence Trust has acquired Wildwood Lubbock, a 1,005-bed student housing community at 1701 N. Quaker Ave. 

The property has two- to four-bedroom floor plans. 

Amenities include a pool, business center, cyber cafe, fitness center, gaming room, pet parks, and volleyball and basketball courts.

Luxury single-family home community slated along Guadalupe River

​​​​CANYON LAKE (San Antonio Business Journal) – Will Korioth is breaking ground on The Bluffs on the Guadalupe, a 242-home community at 11501 FM 306. 

The luxury single-family home community will include 155 acres of ranch land. 

Amenities will include a 1.7-mile hike-and-bike trail, natural swimming lagoons, and swimming pools.

219-unit single-family rental community slated for Hutto

​​​HUTTO (REBusiness Online) – Aspen Heights Partners is developing Bell Yard, a 219-home rental community on 36 acres north of Old Settlers Blvd. 

The property will have two- to four-bedroom homes. 

Construction begins in May 2022 and will be complete in late 2023.

Work starts on Montgomery build-to-rent project

​​​MONTGOMERY (Realty News Report) – Wan Bridge is building Lakeside Conroe, a build-to-rent community near the shores of Lake Conroe.

The project will inc​​lude 169 single-family detached homes and 140 duplexes ranging from 1,979 to 2,426 sf.

TBD Management will provide management services.

AISIN delivers first Texas manufacturing facility

​​CIBOLO (San Antonio Business Journal) – AISIN Corp. has completed its 460,000-sf AW Texas manufacturing facility. 

The $400 million plant will initially employ 500 and eventually add an additional 400.
