GATESVILLE - Attic Breeze, a company that manufactures solar-powered attic fans and skylights, will more than double its plant at 1370 FM 116. The company broke ground on a 25,000-sf building alongside their existing 17,000-sf facility.
The new building is expected to be finished May 2013 and will free up room in the older building to add more office space for a growing sales staff, according to Travis Hipp, the company owner.
The project will create about 20 construction jobs. The increased production from the expansion will probably add five jobs to the current 15-member workforce.
Like the existing plant, the new structure will include a solar-panel array on the roof to provide electricity.
