Twin Eagle frac sand facility in Big SpringBIG SPRING, HOWARD COUNTY – Houston-based service company Twin Eagle has announced plans to expands its frac sand facility at the Permian Rail Park.

Twin Eagle's frac sand facility in Big Spring already has 15,000 tons of flat storage but Twin Eagle ‎Senior Vice President of Sand and Oilfield Logistics Jason Jennaro said the company is adding six 18-story silos that will add another 30,000 tons of capacity by first quarter 2018.

Located about five hours northwest of San Antonio, the busy facility provides frack sand to hydraulic fracturing sites in the eastern end of the Permian Basin.

According to Jennaro, Permian Basin now represents 40 percent of all frac sand demand in the United States putting the region's logistics to the test.​​

Twin Eagle has one frac sand facility at the Mission Rail Park just southeast of San Antonio in Elmendorf and another in Laredo. ​
