​​​aerial view of what new FedEx distribution center will look likeCYPRESS – More details have been revealed about FedEx’s new 815,000-sf distribution facility.

The facility, which will be completed by Sept. 10, 2017, will be able to process 180,000 packages per day and will open with 600 employees.

FedEx bought 488 acres for the facility in 2015, and the processing and distribution center will be on 229.4 acres.

This is the first phase of construction for the facility; eventually, it will contain 1.18 million sf, house 2,200 employees, and will be able to process around 500,000 packages per day.​
