Bellaire to change Chevron campus zoning Bellaire to change Chevron campus zoning https://www.recenter.tamu.edu/news/newstalk-texas/?Item=162882017-04-11T05:00:00Z2017-04-11T19:25:00Z

BELLAIRE – After Chevron Corp. vacates its Bellaire campus later this year, potential buyers will have more options for its future use.

The Bellaire City Council approved changing the land use designation of the approximately 30-acre site from “Business Park”—currently zoned as a Technical Research Park District—to a special development area.

The site is just outside of the I-610 Loop and bounded by West Loop South, Fournace Pl., South Rice Ave. and Mayfair St.

The new designation encourages single-family homes, retail and services, office, medical or other institutional uses.

The new designation discourages educational campuses and multifamily.
