LONGVIEW – Council members approved an agreement to build a 35,380-sf all-inclusive inpatient facility on East Loop 281, between Tryon Rd. and Hollybrook Dr.
Everest Rehabilitation Hospital LLC has secured a six-acre tract that is partially outside the city limits.
The agreement calls for the city annexing the hospital's entire property into the city as well as a surrounding 40 acres for future growth.
Assistant City Manager Keith Bonds said Everest will spend $11 million to build its hospital, and once it opens, bring 120 professional jobs to Longview.
