The company, which has 631 employees in El Paso, plans to hire an additional 150 people locally when the center opens. It will eventually house 600.
The facility will handle auto insurance claims and customers' calls from 12 states, although CEO Fred Loya Jr. said that's expected to expand to 30 states in the next few years. It will also house the company's quality control, information and technology, accounts payable, and human resources departments.
Opening is expected to occur in the second quarter of next year. Loya said the new building will not replace the company's current headquarters building at Lee Trevino and Trawood.
