This October, Automatic Data Processing Inc. will finish its new $41 million building where it will employ 1,200 people by 2020. The 150,000-sf property, south of Transmountain at 1851 N. Resler, will double ADP’s local operations.

More than 200 residential lots are in various stages of development in the Desert Springs subdivision, also south of Transmountain. Homes range from $175,000 to $220,000. Desert View Homes is the developer.

Where you have people, you need schools. Canutillo Independent School District's newest campus, Reyes Elementary, is slated to open this year.

Meanwhile, farther north, Abundant Living Faith Center has bought land for an 1,800-seat church. The church — the largest nondenominational church in El Paso — purchased the land from Southwest Land Development.
