Austin Leads Nation in Startups

The city’s technology job base has grown by 17.8 percent since 2011, and the unemployment rate, which trended below both the state and national averages a year ago at 4.1 percent, is now at 3.1 percent.

According to Colliers International, Class-A rental rates in the city’s central business district decreased while vacancy slightly increased in the second quarter.
