FORT WORTH - The Fort Worth Housing Authority has broken ground on the $2.4 million Knights of Pythias Lofts at 307 Crump St.
The project consists of both the construction of a new building and the complete overhaul the 87-year-old historic Knights of Pythias building located at 303 Crump St. The building has been neglected and in disrepair for decades.
Construction and renovation are expected to take approximately 12 months. When complete, the facility will include 18 apartments, all either one- or two-bedroom ranging from 680 to 840 sf.
Part of the project’s funding came from a Community Development Block Grant. Plans call for the new building to offer affordable pricing.
