LUBBOCK – The 20,500-sf Commons by United Supermarkets has opened its doors to students at Texas Tech University with two stores of dining options and seating.
The facility — located at 18th St. and Boston Ave. — includes a Mongolian-style grill, pizzeria, mini-market and Einstein Bros. Bagels.
The Commons by United Supermarkets is located next to the new Boston Avenue Residence Hall. Groundbreaking for the project occurred in May 2011.
The Commons by United Supermarkets was named in recognition of the company’s $3 million donation to Texas Tech University System.
