FRANKLIN, ROBERTSON COUNTY – The 84-acre Franklin Ranch Community Park is set to open for year-round family fun just north of Franklin on FM 46. 

The $12.8 million park features three signature baseball fields, two softball fields, a multipurpose baseball/softball field, and two football fields.

In addition, there are two pavilions, a splash pad, an amphitheater, three concession stands, and nine miles of walking trails. The park also has a fishing lake and fishing shack, an outdoor education center, and several playgrounds and large open areas for play.

The park is owned by Franklin Independent School District. It is located at 137 Maris Ln., according state licensing.

The park infrastructure includes roadways, parking lots, lighting for sports fields and pedestrian walks and irrigation.
