THE WOODLANDS – The Houston Business Journal has compiled a list of important numbers for The Woodlands area.

• 1,755 employers and 49,960 employees in The Woodlands area;
• 2,901 employees employed at The Woodlands’ largest employer, Anadarko Petroleum Corp.;
• 14 companies 100,000 sf or more;
• $13.9 billion invested in The Woodlands since it was founded in 1974;
• 8,000 acres dedicated to green space at build out;
• 41,800 households in nine residential villages in the community; and
• 177,005 population estimate for The Woodlands area in 2011.
