Elliott Electric distribution hub moves to Farmers Branch
FARMERS BRANCH – Elliott Electric Supply has purchased the 155,000-sf building at 13405 N. Stemmons Fwy. and is moving its North Texas regional distribution center from Grand Prairie to the new site in Farmers Branch.
The company plans to spend $1.5 million to renovate the new distribution center and store and plans to move February 2013.
The facility will also house Elliott Electric’s west Dallas store, which is currently at Northwest Hwy. and I-35. The company will maintain a store in Grand Prairie after it moves its distribution center from its existing 75,000-sf facility at 2510 W. Main.
The Farmers Branch City Council approved a five-year sales and business/personal property tax rebate, as well as a real property tax rebate of 50 percent of incremental value — all totaling about $138,000 over five years.
The company employs 215 people in DFW, more than 1,100 people company wide, and operates 118 stores in Louisiana, Oklahoma, New Mexico and Texas.
