Lockheed Martin biggest DFW manufacturer

FORT WORTH – Lockheed Martin Aeronautics’ extensive operations in the Dallas-Fort Worth area have placed it atop the Dallas Business Journal’s list of Largest North Texas Manufacturing Companies based on the number of local employees.

Located at 1 Lockheed Blvd., Lockheed Martin employs 14,200 people in North Texas, putting it ahead of second place Raytheon Co. of McKinney, which employs 9,130.

Texas Instruments Inc. of Dallas is third on the list with 9,100, while Denton’s Dal-Tile Corp. is fourth at 7,500.

Bell Helicopter in Fort Worth rounds out our list with 7,000 employees.
