MARSHALL - Wiley College has opened the new 500-bed Haywood L. Strickland Living Learning Center. The $14.5 million project will help bring students, who have been housed in nearby hotels, back on campus.

In addition to dorm rooms, the facility has classrooms, lounges, and an auditorium.

Currently, students only have access to living quarters but, the rest of the facility should be complete by mid-September. At that time, the college will begin another project, a $6 million dollar renovation to the student union.

Over the past decade the student population at Wiley College has nearly tripled to more than 1,000 students.
