Bryan’s Briarcrest Drive construction begins

BRYAN – A major makeover is coming to Bryan’s busiest street as construction on Briarcrest Dr. has started.

The $4.7 million project along Briarcrest Dr. between Hwy. 6 and Kent St. will include adding an extra right turn lane on each side of the road as well as installing concrete medians.

More than 50,000 cars travel Briarcrest Drive every day and that number continues to grow.

Lane closures in each direction are expected during construction. The project is expected to be complete by late August 2013.
