LAREDO – Laredo Community College (LCC) and the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) have joined forces to give local automotive technicians a more convenient way to become ASE-certified professionals.
The Assessment Center at the LCC South Campus is now an official Prometric Testing Center for ASE certifications. Anyone with at least two years of experience in the automotive repair field can get ASE certified in any of the more than 40 areas of expertise offered.
Students who have graduated with a two-year degree from the LCC Transportation Technology program are allowed to waiver one year of working experience from the certification criteria.
