Southwestern makes the ranks in Forbes
GEORGETOWN – With enrollment of more than 1,300 students, Southwestern University is ranked second place in the state and 92nd place nationally on Forbes magazine’s 2012 America’s Top Colleges list. This is the university’s first appearance in the magazine.
In the state, Southwestern finished behind Rice University, but topped Trinity University in third, The University of Texas at Austin in fourth and fifth place Southern Methodist University.
The rankings are determined based on postgraduate success, student satisfaction, student debt, four-year graduation rate and competitive awards.
Southwestern has consistently pulled top ranks in national studies for its academics and programs. In a study by Educational Benchmarking Inc., based on students’ overall satisfaction with their academic experience, Southwestern came in fifth out of 269 schools.
