HOUSTON – Transwestern has purchased 21 acres on the north side of I-10, east of Barker Cypress Rd. where it is developing a three-building office complex with 660,000 sf. The development, named Westgate, is already 67 percent preleased.
The buildings, which have been precertified under LEED Silver guidelines, will each have its own parking garage. Transwestern purchased the land from Hearst Corp., the Houston Chronicle’s parent company.
The specs:
- Building I — 248,500 sf in four stories;
- Building II — 186,000 sf in four stories; and
- Building III — 225,500 sf in five stories.
