LCU achieves record enrollment; SPC’s enrollment declines
LUBBOCK – Lubbock Christian University (LCU) has achieved a record enrollment for the fall 2012 semester, while South Plains College (SPC) experienced another decline in enrollment.
LCU has a fall enrollment of 2,135 students, the largest number of students in the history of the university, according to university’s office of the registrar. The new enrollment figure represents a near 100-student increase over the enrollment figure of 2,038 for fall semester 2011.
SPC enrollment across all campuses is 9,710. Enrollment is down 7.86 percent compared to fall 2011’s enrollment of 10,549.
Spring 2012 enrollment was 9,661, down by a little more than 3 percent in comparison to spring 2011.
