AUSTIN - Construction of Apple Inc.'s first phase of the planned Americas Operations Center could begin as early as September or October, according to Srinath Kasturi of Cadence McShane.

Phase 1A and 1B will be Apple’s two 140,816-sf, four-story tiltwall office buildings. Phase 1 will also include the constuction of the parking lot, a detention pond and the drainage system.

The Northwest Austin facility will be part of the Riata Vista Office Complex adjacent to its current campus off Riata Vista Circle.

Upon completion, the complex will include five office buildings with a total of 649,028 sf of space, two retail buildings totaling 34,794 sf and one 5,250-sf restaurant.

As reported in July 2012, nearly 39 acres of land at Parmer Ln. and Delcour Dr. were purchased for the project with plans to invest $304 million into the operations center and hire 3,635 new full-time employees by the end of 2025.
