BRYAN – Walmart is renovating a former Albertson’s space at 1901 S. Texas Ave. and plans to open it as a Neighborhood Market.
Located near the intersection of Texas Ave. and Carson St., the 62,000-sf renovation is expected to cost $3.5 million. This type of store normally employees around 95 employees.
In other news, the city has approved a sales tax break of up to $5 million over a 15-year period to bring a Walmart Supercenter to FM 2818 near Villa Maria Rd. in west Bryan.
