AUSTIN - The University of Texas at Austin (UT) will offer a new undergraduate certificate program in real estate. Applications are now being accepted for the industry-focused, interdisciplinary curriculum that will be available to business and non-business majors.
It has been nearly 20 years since UT has offered a similar program, which includes modules about architecture, economics, engineering, real estate law and urban planning. The university also offers a bachelor’s degree in real estate finance.
Corporate sponsors and supporters have committed $3.6 million of the $4 million in estimated startup costs. The endowment will support faculty, staff, course development and student scholarships.
