DALLAS-FORT WORTH - Expanding office tenants have filled up an additional 2 million sf of DFW office space so far this year, according to Cushman & Wakefield of Texas. The strongest office demand was in far North Dallas, West Plano and Frisco, but most major business districts, including downtown Dallas, saw net leasing gains.

Over 4 million sf has been leased during third quarter 2012, with State Farm, VHA, United HealthCare Group, and Wingspan all leasing more than 50,000 sf.

Cushman & Wakefield found it is the best net leasing report for the local office market since before the recession. Net office leasing in North Texas through 3Q 2012 is running almost 20 percent ahead of where it was at this point last year.
