HOUSTON - St. Joseph Medical Center is set to open a location in the same building as the long-term acute care Select Specialty Hospital at 1917 Ashland St. — home of the former Heights Hospital.
Capital investment in the project will be $10 million, excluding cost of the lease.
The acute care services center will consist of 48 patient beds, four operating rooms and seven beds for a 24-hour emergency room. Hospital services in the Heights area have been closed for about 20 years.
