SAN ANTONIO - The next phase of Bandera Oaks shopping center is now in motion on the city’s Northwest Side, southeast of Bandera Rd. and Loop 1604. The Weitzman Group announced preleasing efforts have begun for Phase II for the shopping center.

Phase II of the project calls for adding anywhere from 25,000 to 45,000 sf of additional space to the local center that currently spans 64,476 sf.

Construction could begin later this year. At the latest, the next phase of Bandera Oaks is slated to be under construction by mid-2013. Completion of the project is scheduled for spring 2014.

Driving much of the success of these retail centers is a population boom that has resulted in a large amount of homes in the city’s Northwest and far West submarkets.

A major factor spurring the decision to move forward on the next phase of Bandera Oaks is its neighbor, the new 182,000-sf H-E-B Plus! along Loop 1604, just northeast of Bandera Road. Bandera Oaks is positioned along Quincy Lee Dr., which also serves as a feeder road into the H-E-B Plus!
