AUSTIN - Silicon Laboratories Inc. has bought, for $94.4 million, the two downtown buildings it has been leasing for its headquarters.

The six-story office buildings, one at 400 W. Cesar Chavez St. and the other at 200 W. Cesar Chavez St. have retail and restaurant space on the street level and were initially the headquarters of Computer Sciences Corp.

Each building is about 200,000 sf with an underground tunnel connecting the two buildings. Silicon Labs subleases some of the space to other tenants.
