MIDLAND - Construction has begun on the 96-unit Playa del Pueblo apartment complex that is set to open by fall 2013. The $13 million project will offer affordable units with rents ranging from about $500 to $1,000, according to Debra Guerrero with the NRP Group.
The complex will have 12 one-bedroom, 48 two-bedroom and 36 three-bedroom units totaling 95,000 sf.
Rental rates will be set and mandated by the State of Texas, according to David Diaz with the Midland Community Development Corp.
In order to qualify for a unit, you must be at 60 percent of the area median family income.
