LEAGUE CITY - Construction on League City’s new $33.1 million public safety building has begun on 12 acres at 300 W. Walker St. The 71,600-sf facility will house the police department, fire administration, fire marshal’s office, emergency management and jail.
The two-story building can facilitate 24,500 sf of future buildout. The cost of construction, not including furniture, fixtures and equipment is $24.4 million. The total project cost is $33.1 million.
Construction should take about 16 months.
