AMARILLO – Lindsay Manufacturing has broken ground on a new 50,000-sf warehouse and distribution center in the CenterPort Business Park near Hwy. 60 and Folsom Rd.

Amarillo Economic Development Corp. is contributing land and seed money as incentives to help private developer Prana Development Group build the structure. Additionally, Prana will spend about $2 million to build the new building.

The maker of agricultural irrigation center-pivot sprinklers will occupy almost half of the building and recruit companies to occupy the remaining space.

The project is anticipated to be complete in March 2013.The Omaha, Neb.-based Lindsay has about 15 to 20 employees at its current Amarillo location, Amarillo EDC President and CEO Buzz David said in August.
