Midland College land management program online
MIDLAND – Midland College’s Petroleum Professional Development Center is offering those interested in land management the opportunity to receive certification through a six-month online program.
Offered in six modules — one per month — the course gets underway November 5, 2012 when the first module, an introduction to land management practices, goes online. Online registrants will receive a user ID and password to allow them to complete the course.
Students will have 30 days to finish each module, which will then be taken down and the next one offered. The final module will be available April 1-30, 2013.
Subsequent modules will cover chaining, interpreting and curing titles, negotiating and calculating interests in the oil and gas lease, oil and gas law and its impact on land practices, legally enforceable oil and gas contracts and federal laws that impact the oil and gas industry.
