AUSTIN – Advanced Micro Devices Inc. has reduced its Austin employment by about 400 people in the wake of its companywide restructuring announced in October. The company now employs about 2,000 people in Austin.

The company announced its plans to cut 15 percent of its global workforce, or about 1,600 positions that included both technical and non-technical workers.
