Twin Pines breaks ground in Victoria
VICTORIA – Ground has broken on the Twin Pines North Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, a senior-living center at the corner of Mallette St. and Briggs Blvd. The 61,000-sf facility will have 90 beds — 60 private rooms and 30 semi-private rooms.
Construction on the project is estimated at $9 million, according to state filings.
The new community will also add 175 new jobs to the local economy.
Common areas in the facility include a soda shop, chapel, private dining and a courtyard with a fireplace. Two therapy units are also included in the project.
Having outgrown the Twin Pines’ Mockingbird Lane location, there was demand for another site. The new center will serve as Twin Pines’s flagship site.
