EL PASO - El Paso's third quarter 2012 median home-sale price increased 4.7 percent compared to the same quarter a year ago to $142,100, according to the National Association of Realtors.
Nationally the median sales price for a single-family home in the July-September quarter was $186,100, up 7.6 percent from a year ago — the largest price increase since 2006.
The median sales price increased in 120 of 149 metro areas surveyed by the association.
Regionally, Austin's median price increased 6.7 percent to $207,900; and San Antonio increased 3.6 percent to $161,900.
