Edinburg becomes fastest growing city in South Texas

EDINBURG – When Mayor Richard Garcia received the most current figures of the city’s population, 89,000 people now call Edinburg home.

That is a 19 percent increase since 2010 census was conducted.

Edinburg has become the fastest growing city in the South Texas Region which include San Antonio, Corpus Christi and Laredo.
