Victoria Oct. 2012 home sales: Swearingen
VICTORIA – The Swearingen Report has been released for October 2012. The numbers continue to move up, especially prices, according to Lee Swearingen, president of Coldwell Banker The Ron Brown Company.
The average sales price for residential homes was $162,222 for the 12 months ending October 2012, up 10.6 percent versus the same period ending October 2011 when it was $146,624.
The median price of residential homes for the 12 months ending October 2012 was $143,225, up 11.7 percent versus the same period 2011 when it was $128,200.
Total sales of residential homes in Victoria MLS for the 12 months ending October 2012 was 908, 9.9 percent (82 homes) more than the same period in 2011.
The average days on market for residential homes for the 12 months ending October 2012 was 97 — 23.6 percent shorter than the same period last year.
