SOUTH PADRE ISLAND - The South Padre Island City Council approved the annexation of the following tracts of land located in the City of South Padre Island extraterritorial jurisdiction. The tracts include:

  • a 22.01-acre tract, located east of Padre Blvd. right-of-way, abutting the Schlitterbahn Water Park and generally known as the Jeremiah tract;
  • an 87.83 acre-tract, located west of Padre Blvd. right-of-way, including the KOA Campground, Pier 19 restaurant, submerged land, and Dirty Al’s restaurant;
  • a 172.91-acre tract, located west of the existing city limits, submerged lands, and a portion of Tompkins Channel;
  • a ten-acre tract, located east of Padre Blvd. right-of-way, north of the La Quinta Hotel, known as the Hilton tract; and
  • a 106-acre tract, located east of the Padre Blvd. right-of-way and east of the existing city limits, from the Isla Blanca Park, to the Surf Circle Beach Access.
