LUBBOCK – As many as 200 new jobs will be added to the Lubbock market early in 2013 when United Supermarkets opens its new Market Street location at 19th St. and Quaker Ave.
The new location will employ about 400 people, with half transferring from inside the company and the other half as new hires, according to Shannon Elrod, director of talent management for United.
The company will host a job fair November 26 through December 14 at City Bank Coliseum.
The new store, which will be United’s 11th Market Street location, and third in Lubbock, will open January 9.
