SAN ANTONIO - Local medical office properties demonstrated continued recovery from the downward shift that began in 2008, says Kim Gatley of NAI REOC San Antonio.

Citywide vacancy tightened to 18.2 percent — down from 19.0 percent last quarter and 19.6 percent recorded in third quarter 2011.

New leases and expansions inked in 3Q 2012 generated 50,217 sf of positive net absorption which raised the year-to-date total to 136,328 sf – more than double the amount recorded through this point last year.
