HOUSTON - A $30 million expansion project is now underway at the Children’s Assessment Center (CAC) at 2500 Bolsover, Rice Village, just east of Kirby.

The existing 55,000-sf building opened in 1998. The new 75,000-sf addition will go in a four-story structure that will connect to the existing building.

A new conference and training center and space for 44 partner agencies will be housed in the new building. To make room for the addition, the existing 330-car parking garage will be torn down and a new 420-car garage will be built.

The center provides services to nearly 5,000 sexually abused children each year in collaboration with 45 partner agencies.

The CAC capital campaign has raised $16 million for the project. An additional $14 million is needed to meet the campaign goal.
