SAN ANTONIO – The San Antonio-New Braunfels area is the fifth-fastest growing metropolitan area in the nation, according to data from Pitney Bowes Software.

The data shows that the San Antonio-New Braunfels area will grow 7.1 percent from 2012 to 2017. During that five-year period, 55,017 new households are expected to be added.

Other Texas cities ranked before San Antonio-New Braunfels include Austin-Round Rock-San Marcos area to see a 7.4 percent growth and Killeen-Temple-Fort Hood area, which are estimated to see a 7.2 percent growth.
