DALLAS - The $185 million, 180,000-sf Perot Museum of Nature and Science has opened. Goals of the museum include creating a more science-literate community, and a generation of children that are passionate and innovative about learning.
Located on 4.7 acres just north of downtown Dallas in Victory Park, the facility will have 200 full- and part-time employees. Estimated annual budget is about $15 million.
The museum features five floors of public space with 11 permanent exhibit halls, including a children's museum complete with an outdoor play space and a state-of-the-art hall designed to host world class traveling exhibitions.
