BOWIE, MONTAGUE COUNTY - Cameron International has moved into the 15,000-sf Bowie Economic Development Corporation (BEDC) building at 3059 US 81 following the finish-out of the former building shell.
The building was constructed eight years ago at a cost of $375,000 to offer for build-out to a prospective industrial company that would bring jobs to the community.
Cameron plans to bring about 15 jobs to the Bowie area with an average salary of $30,000, which can provide a payroll impact of $500,000 to the area. Cameron will lease the building from the BEDC for $16,500 per month on a five-year lease, plus a five-year renewal option at a reduced cost of $8,000 per month.
Cameron International is an $8 trillion company that is a leading provider of flow equipment products, systems and services to worldwide gas, oil and process industries.
