HOUSTON - Lone Star College System will dedicate tomorrow its sixth stand-alone college — Lone Star College-University Park — at 20515 SH 249, near Louetta Dr.
The 1.2 million-sf multipurpose college campus was purchased by Lone Star in 2009 from HP. The property was once Compaq Computer’s world headquarters. Lone Star College-University Park offered its first classes in 2010 as a satellite campus of Lone Star College-Tomball.
Approved by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools, Lone Star College-University Park is now Lone Star College System’s sixth comprehensive college enrolling more than 5,500 credit students.
