Walmart visits Victoria, again

VICTORIA – A 156,059-sf Walmart is underway at 4101 Houston Hwy. The building permit value is $8.1 million.

The store will employ about 300 people with hiring beginning in late summer 2013. The project is scheduled to open in fall 2013.

The site will house two lots. That includes the main lot, which is currently in the works, and a smaller lot, which will eventually be further subdivided to house a fuel station and retail. There will be 607 parking spaces.
