HORIZON CITY – A new Walmart will soon make its way into Horizon City, across from City Hall.

The full-sized supercenter, at Horizon Blvd. and Darrington Blvd., is expected to bring hundreds of jobs to the city, and is more convenient for citizens who had to drive to El Paso to visit a Walmart. Construction costs are estimated at $7 million.

The store is expected to open by fall 2013, and a Whataburger is set to be built nearby.
