FORT WORTH – NGC Renewables, the North American subsidiary of a large Chinese manufacturer of wind turbine equipment, has purchased 18.6 acres at US 377 and SH 170 in the Alliance development area.

The company plans to build a $96 million headquarters and factory. The 120,000-sf facility will be used to manufacture, remanufacture and service gearboxes for wind turbines.

In July, the Fort Worth City Council approved a property tax abatement for the company worth $4.7 million over ten years. The land deal closed October 17, according to deed records.

Under terms of the incentive, about 40 jobs would be created by December 31, 2013, increasing to 150 by December 31, 2018.
