State Farm consolidating to Richardson

RICHARDSON – State Farm Insurance will be an anchor office tenant in developer KDC’s planned $1.5 billion development adjoining the Bush Turnpike DART rail station at Plano Rd. and Renner Rd. The operation will be staffed with a combination of existing and new employees.

The planned State Farm regional office complex will total 1.5 million sf and will consolidate operations now located in North Texas and elsewhere.

In recent months, State Farm has leased about 300,000 sf of office space in Richardson and another 400,000 sf of offices in Irving’s Las Colinas community. The insurer also has a large office on Preston Rd. in Far North Dallas.

Electronics and defense firm Raytheon Co. is also looking to lease about 1 million sf for a major office complex in the development.
