Signature Healthcare buys 145-bed facility in Houston

HOUSTON – Signature Healthcare has purchased a 13.4-acre, 145-bed health care facility in west Houston from MetroNational. The 122,786-sf at 2801 Gessner Rd. property previously served as a senior housing property.

“The tenant that had been leasing the property from the seller moved out, leaving the asset nonperforming,” said David O’Toole, vice president of investments at Marcus & Millichap who represented the seller. “The buyer intends to reopen the facility as a drug and rehabilitation hospital.”
